implementation of insitu and lab testing and structural analysis to assess the structural condition of buildings and lay out of remedial measures where needed. Also a consultancy as to the possibility of adding a new floor to be used as a cafe for the staff. Scope also included feasibility study.

The owner of the project, AGOS Group International, wanted to investigate and assess the structural condition of the reinforced concrete elements of Gozeltiek Hotel of Misurata, including implementation of necessary site and lab testing and structural analyses to assess the structural condition of the hotel, and also layout the nessecary remedial measures.

The investigation included the following works:

• Studying the effect of the proposed modifications and additions on the structural integrity of the building.
• Corrosion assessment of the structural elements of the building.
• Damages caused by the military conflicts in 2011.
• Assessment of the structural condition of some of the building elements with respect to the fire induced cracking and deterioration.
• Investigate the possibility of adding a new façade instead of the existing one.

NDT and laboratory testing works for the deteriorated elements due to corrosion activity for a number of (14) buildings consisting of 8 floors and 11 buildings of 12 floors (in addition to the ground floor and basement).

Bonyan investigated more than 60 roof tops to assess the load bearing elements and study the possibility of installing an external equipment room above the ceiling of the sites, as part of Libyana mobile network operator extension project. NDT testing and structural analysis were applied to evaluate the field work load-bearing elements of the existing equipment Libyana had installed on the surface of the sites.

The sites were located in each of Tripoli, Misurata, Garian and Nalut cities.

Bonyan has a new contract with Libyana for more sites and works are ongoing.
